Does your consciousness every make you aware of your wrong doings? Does it make you feel like now everyone is going to know of my faults/failure and tease me to nothing. Is your conscious like the little angel or little devil that suddenly appears on your shoulder, and you picking the right one so that either the answer of the angel or the devil will allow you to not feel guilty!
How foolish you are to believe the media of the ideas that you can put the blame on the angel on your shoulder and do what you want. Those examples are nothing but an excuse to sin and not live your life our Lord has called us to.

Read Titus 2:11-15 NLT
11 For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. 12 And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, 13 while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. 14 He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds.

15 You must teach these things and encourage the believers to do them. You have the authority to correct them when necessary, so don’t let anyone disregard what you say.

Christ desires us to follow the way of His Father as it leads to his approval/righteousness! Our failures are not what He focus on, He continues on looking for you, to seek you into his loving arms, holding you to rest and allow him to work by carrying you.

STOP running and fighting the battles in your life . . . Stop i tell you and listen to the Good news Jesus Christ has done for you! He does not condemned you, since he is above all! Why should you not listen and sin no more, there are a lot of people who will tell you not to listen, but i tell you when you failed, the Holy Spirit convicts you of righteousness and approval, and not your sin.

Go now and be washed in the God's grace in which was paid for by the lamb - Jesus Christ - and sin no more.

1 Corinthians 15:34
Awake to righteousness, and do not sin...

Read Luke 18:35-43 (NLT)

Faith is not believing that God can, but that GOD WILL!

In the Gospel of Luke, the story takes place where a blink beggar was sitting beside the road and when he knew Jesus was passing by he wanted to be healed by him as he believed in the name he called out to - "Son of David" and the next line goes have mercy on me. He called out once and everyone around him tried to silence him, and so he called out AGAIN!

i am so glad that my cries out to God are not a nuisance to him, and that i am able to be receive by a loving God who will never never never let me go. The God of the how much more! In our troubled times, do we let Christ be our savior or do we simply wait till we are desperate for him to know that we cannot depend on our own self-sufficient of this world.

The darkness i live in has been the fear of not having anyone around - i always need to be in community to feel that i am loved. The feelings of being together in the community will only last as long as the person is with you during that time, and then the rest would be alone. How foolish!!! The lies of your heart as the evil one eats up your emotions to drown you! Courage my friend in the name of Jesus, come to Christ and reach out to him as he earns to have a deeper relationship with you.

When you feel helpless, Call out! Luke 18:37-38
When doubt shouts back at us, CALL AGAIN! Luke 18:39

'If you wake me each morning with the sound of your loving voice,
I'll go to sleep each night trusting in you' ... Psalms 143

Let me say a prayer for you ...
Father God, brings us closer to you even nearer now with all the reality we live in this world today! In your name, come be our provider, healer, and consulor ... change our lives Lord, to be holy and in your approval! In Jesus name . Amen!

A song that i really love to hear, knowing that my Lord always takes me under him. Have a great week, see you all soon... :))

You're in a better place, I've heard a thousand times
And at least a thousand times I've rejoiced for you
But the reason why I'm broken, the reason why I cry
Is how long must I wait to be with you

I close my eyes and I see your face
If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place
Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
I've never been more homesick than now

Help me Lord cause I don't understand your ways
The reason why I wonder if I'll ever know
But, even if you showed me, the hurt would be the same
Cause I'm still here so far away from home

I close my eyes and I see your face
If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place
Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
I've never been more homesick than now

In Christ, there are no goodbye
And in Christ, there is no end
So I'll hold onto Jesus with all that I have
To see you again
To see you again

And I close my eyes and I see your face
If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place
Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
Won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
Won't you give me strength to make it through somehow

I've never been more homesick than now

24-26Then Jesus went to work on his disciples. "Anyone who intends to come with me has to let me lead. You're not in the driver's seat; I am. Don't run from suffering; embrace it. Follow me and I'll show you how. Self-help is no help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, my way, to finding yourself, your true self. What kind of deal is it to get everything you want but lose yourself? What could you ever trade your soul for? (Matthew 16:24-26, The Message)

In the verse 24 New Living Translation; "If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow me"... wow i love the way The Message puts it, you are no longer in the driver seat and it is HE. OUR lives are no-longer bonded by our own strength, but by Jesus. It is such a wonderful transformation to see that once we deny our own life's humiliation, defeats, disappointment, setbacks and place it on the throne of Grace, how our Christian life grows!!! Pastor Andre mentioned to us something i really took care - Peter was one of the great disciple of Jesus and he was proud of it and thus collected some pride journeying with Jesus. When Jesus mentions about his coming and the suffering he must endure, Peter could not accept that and pulled Jesus aside to say this cannot be so...Jesus broke him and collapsed him - calling him Sa-tan and to get behind him (Matt 16:23).

Jesus is our cross and not another ... He allows us to fall as we continue to build a relationship with the Father to see the works of him in our lives. No outside influences will temp you away from the Grace of God and the weakness that we have we accept as we already know that God has. We follow Christ not because we have to (by law), not because we ought to (by obligation), but because you want to (by grace).

GoD M.S.G. [Aug 12-18, 2009]

Our lives are filled with insecurities, and to seek for joy and become what you already are ... The Gospel of Grace ultimately confronts us in a deeply personal way about our response to Jesus' invitation to receive Him as God over all areas of our lives.

Grace is personal to me as it talks about Christ whom is my encounter for life as He knew me! The following passage really woke me up ...48"In a word, what I'm saying is, Grow up. You're kingdom subjects. Now live like it. Live out your God-created identity. Live generously and graciously toward others, the way God lives toward you." ~ Matt 5:48 (The Message)

Grow up! yup, that is what i need to remember as i will sometimes crawl back into my same habits, programming, culture brought up. Christ came to free us from sins and to live our lives free - but it is the mind that traps us into thinking we are not free yet and live still like slaves.

i want to be unchained and be accepted, even at my worst! Only He can do that - Jesus Christ...let Him fill your life with joy and restore you to make you strong, firm and steadfast ~ 1 Peter 5:10

GoD M.S.G. [July 22-28, 2009]

my Grace identity ... do i follow the ways of the world or do i follow Jesus' ways: Do you identify your life with the 3 points below?

1. I am What I Acquire
2. I am What I Feel
3. I am Whatever I Say I am

i have one part in my life experience a bit of these 3 points and as the message over the weekend, I am will never allow you to discover your inside; rather it will only let you see your outside. i was reading my devotionals today and the title read 'What Worship Does' ... Worship humbles the smug (self-righteous) and lifts the deflated (exhausted). i forget to let God be in control of my daily activities, and allow the ways of the world to tell me how my life will be more joyful or exciting if i work towards having more money or having a girlfriend/boyfriend to love ...

i believe that God has a plan for you and even if you think God hasn't had one for you - you just try running and He will find you and reach out to hold you no matter what. Our lives are filled with so much ideas that we can make it on our own strength, and even some books will point to your life saying no worries - the world is here to support you. Ha ha i really laugh at that and tell you that these truth claims will only work for you part-time / temporarily. In Psalm 8, David starts of by praising God

O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth!
Your glory is higher than the heavens.

Trust in Christ and allow the truth of God be open to you ... 3I'm speaking to you out of deep gratitude for all that God has given me, and especially as I have responsibilities in relation to you. Living then, as every one of you does, in pure grace, it's important that you not misinterpret yourselves as people who are bringing this goodness to God. No, God brings it all to you. The only accurate way to understand ourselves is by what God is and by what he does for us, not by what we are and what we do for him (Romans 12:3 Msg) Our lives changes when we are secure in our identity based on the fact we know and experience God loves us!

Psalm 8
1 O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth!
Your glory is higher than the heavens.
2 You have taught children and infants
to tell of your strength,
silencing your enemies
and all who oppose you.
3 When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers—
the moon and the stars you set in place—
4 what are mere mortals that you should think about them,
human beings that you should care for them?
5 Yet you made them only a little lower than God
and crowned them with glory and honor.
6 You gave them charge of everything you made,
putting all things under their authority—
7 the flocks and the herds
and all the wild animals,
8 the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea,
and everything that swims the ocean currents.
9 O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth!

GoD M.S.G. [July 15-21, 2009]

This week the reading comes from Psalm 73; a psalm of Asaph. Asaph was very talented and gifted but had envy in the heart and center of thoughts, and so Psalm 73 shows us the outlook of Asaph looking at someone else's life and being unhappy at other people's happiness.

* Envy is invisible and hides itself
* Envy sucks joy out of our lives

i truly experience envy as it does not make you happy at all ... it just creeps up and silent attacks you from the inside, rotting from your life inside. I believe it was a poison that was psychologically and socially blinding in my life. Envy was not taught when i was in school, but it existed on every corner, "that is a nicer looking car than mine"; "wow! your computer is way cooler than mine - i just have a small laptop."; "somehow you have more friends than me on your online profile, what's that about?" ... etc etc etc and it can go on and on and it really takes our eyes of the one we should be focus on - Jesus. Envy helped reveal our true idols and understand our own heart.

i choose to be honest before God as it is a step to overcome envy and discouragement, because i know God is trustworthy and i know you can trust him long-term and not just now. But it takes time to make sense and to allow Grace to flow into our lives. God accepts us no matter how messed up we are - HOW GREAT is THAT?!?!?! So my friend i choose to worship and fully experience the unconditional grace of God as i choose to be free and not be powered by the world in my life - i wonder if you will give God a little bit of your time to let Him tell you how much He loves and wants to hold you.

Allow God to draw you to Him, my friend i wish you well and joy - till next time :))

James 4 NLT
1 What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Don’t they come from the evil desires at war within you? 2 You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it. 3 And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong—you want only what will give you pleasure.

4 You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God. 5 What do you think the Scriptures mean when they say that the spirit God has placed within us is filled with envy? 6 But he gives us even more grace to stand against such evil desires. As the Scriptures say,

“God opposes the proud
but favors the humble.”

7 So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. 9 Let there be tears for what you have done. Let there be sorrow and deep grief. Let there be sadness instead of laughter, and gloom instead of joy. 10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor.

deaR friend,

How are you? i am sorry for always asking this question but i do miss your company and hope to fellowship someday. i hope all is well in your life ... i'm doing well and if you do not know we are already in the month of JULY! Well it was a wonder to be able to see fireworks on the eve and actual 4th of July Independence Day! From what i hear there is normally no fireworks on the eve just on the actual, so it was great to be able to catch the spectacular display of lights in the sky

This week's journey brings us into John 13:1-16
Jesus washes his disciples' feet. Peter protested to Jesus that he will never wash his feet, however Jesus answered, "Unless I wash you, you have no part with me." If we do not learn to receive from Jesus, we will never be a part of him.

If we do not know how to receive, we will not know how to give freely to others. i think for me that is something i am working on all the time. i have a hard time of receiving as in my culture i have been so cautious when people are giving as they are expecting something back from me ... how much more am i to give them, the pressure is on-going to return the favor to others when it is given. In Michael Jackson's life, he was always trying to do so much to make everyone happy as it would allow him to have peace. To work and work and work and working to accomplish of now at his death - he is a legend. Jesus teaches us through his parables that God is a seeking one, He goes out to find the lost sheep; the lost coin; and the son who is lost - He does not sit on his butt but runs out with his arms open wide to show how much he cares for you not because you are messed up but because He loves you so very very much.

Grace offers us relief from the crushing weight of the past and can truly change a future! Jesus cleansed us and will continue to do so as we are dumb sheeps who like to run our own way and be lost. Turn towards the everlasting life of Jesus Christ and allow him to wash you immediately by his Love and Grace.

Hi Hi,

Wow, so fast time has moved ... anyway to all in the US - Happy Independence Day on coming 4th of July!!! i will be having a BBQ with the international fellowship down at a bay, yummy tummy is going fill my belly . Hope all is well in your life and your loved ones close to you ... i have been getting wonderful news in Singapore as some of my friends have either gotten married or are having their first baby! i am so excited for them and not sure what to say but just a lot of joy for them.

This week out reading comes from Luke 18:1-8 ; Genesis 3:1-9

God is really a great provider as this week i have been feeling a bit emotional, however all the words around have been encouraging. My devotions this day was “[Humble Service in the Body of Christ] For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.” (Romans 12:3) and last Sunday Pastor Andre talked about How Grace Enables Us to Persevere in Prayer ... WOW to me not listening to the encouragement and throwing a Pity Party on my own ... (thanks Pine for this term!). i should rely on the strength of Christ and not looking at my own self thinking i can handle it on my own. Andre talked about how when we persevere our heart and emotions can endure the process and catch up to be aware of God's gracious promises and not lose heart while we wait.

i am not going to stop in my pursuit towards the love of God, Lincoln Brewster's recorded a song and here's a verse and chorus;
in brokenness|i know you hold me|safe in redemptions arms|and i confess you alone restore me|leading me to your heart . . .and oh where else can i turn|but to the love of god|| the love of God ... that's so wonderful as i do not have to hide no more as once we believe the grace, goodness, and the Love Of God ... we want to turn towards, reveal me for God!

it is funny that a person like me who is not afraid of my past anymore as Christ conquered my life ... i struggle with the God of How Much More - i worry so much about how will i ever accomplish what He wants of me ... i keep on praying and persist in my asking to Christ for my struggles.

1 John 5:15 ; 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Le me leave you with this message, the tree in which Christ Jesus died on was a cut down tree - and Jesus turned it to a tree of life that we can all lean on. Jesus can tell us about his love but we will not really understand, hence only but showing us do we slowly realize Christ's love is that of the How Much More! Amen, Hallelujah my friend and may your week be a wonderful.

GoD M.S.G [Jun 24-30, 2009]

This week the reading came from Luke 11:1-13. If you read the chapter from the Bible, the parable/story that Jesus told was about a dude who went over to his friend's place at midnight as he had friends over but no more food and so needed some from him. But he doesn't want to open up as he and the family are all asleep, however if you knock long enough that friend will open up as he doesn't want to be a bad friend. Jesus told this parable not to tell us that perseverance is needed to come to God, however Jesus is showing us that God is not like the reluctant friend but is more than ready to give therefore "ask and it shall be given."
i used to pray because as i was a Christian and that was what i was told would work and would be bless if i pray. Prayer is no longer a performance, a right formula, a rigid perseverance but focused on the God of "How Much More!" The God that will never never never forsaken you, and so i will never never never stop worshiping you!!!
Here's a poem for your week and do enjoy the rest of the day ... GO out and enjoy God's miracles.

Never Alone!

He can calm the troubled waters
When you walk in dark despair.
There is hope when you feel helpless
Knowing that the Lord is there...

Sharing in your sunshine moments
Or in valleys deep and wide,
He is always by your side.

There's no other friend so faithful
Through the sunshine and rain,
Through the teardrops and the laughter,
In your joy and in your pain.

We could never, ever thank Him
For His love He gives so free,
Never changing...never ending
Throughout all eternity.

Oh, the wonder of all wonders
As we live from day to day,
Knowing that we have a Father
Who is with us all the way.

Hi Hi!!!

How are you??? i hope all is well and that you are enjoying the day coz it is one day i send out e-mails to you and connect through this amazing internet. So as i was thinking about this i googled the creator of the world wide wide (even the word "Googling" has become a usable word use in daily conversations!!!).

Summarized info:
1964, The Internet was originally developed by DARPA, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, as a means to share information on defense research between involved universities and defense research facilities. just email and FTP sites as well as the Usenet where scientists could question and answer each other. Tim Berners-Lee developed the technology and Al Gore had a part in making the internet more legal ... etc etc etc

Interesting information, but then my mind started to wonder as a Christian. i wanted to find out what Google and Bing(Microsoft new search engine) had to say, and i typed in Who Created Humans - the result i got from the top hits are mostly pointing towards "if it's Religion God created if not it's evolution".

Wow, in the world there is a clear separation between the creator and his creations. Do we really put God aside in the our lives? Would you have faith that Jesus Christ is truly your way ... this week Freddy preached a message on Grace in Reality and how wonderful it is to be able to know we are loved no matter how messed up we are! Once we become aware that our lives are not of our own but belong to Jesus Christ who has paid for our sins to die on the cross - i realize how my reality is not about me but it is about Him. i needed to recognize and accept my brokenness which is my standards in orderfor my life to change. i myself cannot even meet my own standard, much less God's standards.

Matt 5:3-5

When Pride comes,
Then comes Dis-Grace (no grace),
but with humility comes wisdom
- Proverbs 11:2

Believing in Him will result our depending on Hum and not on our own effort ... ... Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. (Philippians 2:1-5)

My dearest, the ways of the world are wonderful - but there is a greater wonder that is the treasures God has for you will NEVER never never never stop as he takes joy in loving you and me. So be joyful in your life that nothing takes your eyes away from Christ who is the source and light in your darkness. Place your worries and let Christ be No.1 in your life! Amen

Good day dear friend,

Sorry i missed you yesterday...was running around to Beverly Hills for a dinner event. Got home around 2am on Wednesday and eyes got so tired i did not get to type out this week's devotion. It is a great message as this is the concluding series in Worship, this is Part III of Channels of Grace. i love music especially in Christian music have been a movement for on my daily worship in God.

We cannot fully worship God without Emotions
We cannot fully worship God without Reverence & Honor
We cannot fully worship without sacrifice

Read (Romans 12:1) Because of God's great mercy to us, offer yourselves as a living sacrifice to God

We are truly amazing creation, not amazing stuff - created for the fun...We were created for a purpose and one of it was that we're designed to worship!!! Since delight is incomplete until it is expressed, praise and worship complete the enjoyment of God. 2 Samuel 24:24

My greatest pursuit in life is wanting to worship God in spirit and truth as i know He will carry me through all things. Give Him the Best of your substance, i would not want to bring anything less onto the table as He demonstrated His love by winning us over!!! Jesus came into the world, He knew what was need to be done - He did it willing because He knows we are worth it.

God is not a meaning in our lives because He is useful, NO! It is because He is the meaning of life! Let Christ be your focus as i need to remind myself how easy it is to lose focus and our purpose. God does not become boring in church or in our work or in our relationships or etc etc etc. Christ shall be our greatest treasure, just turn to see it.

Thank you for amazingly creating in us, in all Areas of our lives become an expression of worship so convert every area excellently for the glory of God because they ultimately belong to Him. Have a safe week as the hymm that Pastor Andre left on Sunday for us reminds me that i am working for the Lord not of men.

Colossians 3:17

Rochester Cathedral Choir sing in a special Songs of Praise focusing on Rochester Cathedral broadcast on the 13th April 2008.
words: Charles Wesley, 1762 (Leviticus 6:13)

O Thou who camest from above,
the pure celestial fire to impart
kindle a flame of sacred love
upon the mean altar of my heart.

There let it for thy glory burn
with inextinguishable blaze,
and trembling to its source
return,
in humble prayer and fervent praise.

Jesus, confirm my heart's desire
to work and speak and think for thee;
still let me guard the holy fire,
and still stir up thy gift in me.

Ready for all thy perfect will,
my acts of faith and love repeat,
till death thy endless mercies seal,
and make my sacrifice complete.

Cheers,

Channels of Grace - Worship II
(Ps 147)

Remember:
“Prayer focuses on the problem”
“Praise focuses on the provision”
“Worship focuses on the PROVIDER”

This week we continue on with worship and how we deepen and grow in our worship. (Ps 147:1) We worship God not because He is useful ... but because He is Beautiful! i learned that God will never, never, never, never, leave you! That's a powerful message in worship as you sing out the words that are taken from scriptures, you know that God now is truly changes our lives for the better if we know who we put in the pulpit - The person or God?
Once a visiting minister, Warren’s brother substituted for the popular pastor, Rick Warren. A large audience had already assembled to hear Rick, and when the substitute pastor stepped into the pulpit, several disappointed listeners began to move toward the exits. That’s when the minister stood and said loudly, “All who have come here today to worship Rick Warren may now leave the church. All who have come to worship God keep your seats!” And many turned back ... We have not come together this morning to worship the preacher, the music, the singers, or the instruments, but God and God alone.

Worship should never stop at any moment as our lives are filled with different emotions due to different events, root yourself in God and your focus on the Provider in which God's beauty when we are drawn upon it is life-transforming. i have been forgetful that God is a God whom never never forget us. As we discover God as beautiful and not just useful when we realize that we are dearly loved, will never be forsaken because He was forsaken for our sake. So i will continue to boast about Him throughout my days - He is the way, the truth, and the light (Jn 14:6).

Hebrews 13:5 (Amplified)
… for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]

Channels of Grace - Worship I

This week's sermon has been interesting as it refers to Worship. i have been singing Christian songs/hymns over the years; and now over in the International Christian Fellowship (ICF) ministry God has given me the chance to lead worship.
What is worship to me?
Merriam-Webster defines worship as, “to honor or reverence as a divine being or supernatural power” or “to regard with great or extravagant respect, honor, or devotion” following up with “to perform or take part in worship or an act of worship.” At first i defined worship as a need to lead people to sing to God so they can have a better relationship with Christ, but this week i truly believe in worship is focused on the Provider.

Prayer focuses on the problem | Praise focuses on the provision | Worship focuses on the PROVIDER

The presence of God has never been such fire in my life, Pastor Andre helped me on Sunday to understand it is not my own truths that i come before God but accepting that God has authority in our lives as He will create in us a better person than when we try to change it ourselves.

1. Worship must be based on the truth of Biblical revelation and not on our feelings alone (Gen 22:1-2)
2. True worship requires preparation (Gen 22:3)
3. True worship requires separation from our distractions and worldly concerns
(Gen 22:4-5)
4. True worship requires intentional dedication of our best towards God (Gen 22: 6-10)
5. Genuine worship leads to increased faith in Our God who provides everything in His faithfulness (Gen 22:11-14)
6. Worship is recognizing that God is still God, all-powerful, all-gracious, all-loving, and in total control, even in the midst of our struggles

True worship results in supernatural restoration

My life has been going through a transformation and i give all my blessing to God as He works in my life daily. The world with all their noises tries to distract me and show me things i need to worry about, however if you read the story in Gensis 22:1-19, the powerful message that has been proclaim is that even though God provided a ram in place of Isaac - the place called Mount Moriah centuries later on on the same mountain range, a Father leads His Son there where - The One and Only Son was put on the wood again - For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life - John 3:16.

Romans 8:32
He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

Our lives are filled with so many decisions, have you taken the time to chat or rest in God? Will you let your lives be endless running to Your Goals, Your Ways, Your Needs? Will you let God take over and be in front of your lives and lead you, in every single Big or Small things in your lives. Let us continue to worship him and in truth that our lives are restored by Jesus. To give all and not hold back in fear we are not worthy - oh we are messed up but God is still running towards you to allow you to make that one step - turn towards Jesus.

Thank you Andre for your inspirations

To Blend In or to Separate? Daniel 1:1-7; 2:26-49

How do we live in Grace together with the world. There are two possible ways when we as international students move in to a new environment or city, we either culturally assimilate (blend in) or culturally separate. When i arrived in the USA, all i did in school was to try to blend in. Some friends in Singapore would tell me that I was going to get beaten up, discriminated, and should never be alone when going out. Funny thing is, I was alone here in the USA - with no friends, no family, no similar Singaporean culture around. So all i did for 1 year was to blend in, talk the talk and walk the walk. However there is no change from inside, just an outward projection for people to know i'm cool and easy to hang out with.

i'm not saying i was a fake person when i blended in, what i am sharing is that i was a kind-hearted person inside but i did not let the kind-heartiness flow out, rather i allowed the the dominant culture to be adopted in my lifestyle. i want to be in between assimilation and separation; God is calling us to be spiritually bi-cultural - be where the people are, love them, live excellently in the word, but with hearts grounded on God. Jeremiah 15:19; John 3:17; John 17:11, 15-16; Daniel 2:27

Our lives should be rooted in Christ, the ultimate foundation! Do not let the world blind you with their happiness, but only in which Christ's approval, security, and power, are we able to live EXCELLENTLY in the world by grace. When i use my skills, He is always ahead of me . . . Be His witness to the truth and be the light and salt of the world. Matt 5:13-16

Be a lamp that lights up the room and not just under the table where no one can see. For you Christ died, for you - He will never stop loving.

1 Cor 10:4
Luke 17:20-21
Revelation 11:15

Thank you Andre for the message.

GoD M.S.G. [May 13-19, 2009]

i was sitting down and there are so many questions out there that points to God's existence being redundant, no need as it is way better and cooler to be in control of our own lives. We depend on ourselves . . . why would i need to find time to go seek a relationship with God who takes up time, commitment and unconditional love. i was looking and asking, what is going on? The lies of the world is so sweet that when it bites, we are so accustom we never differentiate the grace of God from the lies of the Tempter.

i seek his Truth daily and want to be transform from inside out. The relationship with friends i yearn for are genuine ones and it is not by spending money on them or telling nice things into their ears, but the sacrifice of time and commitment to build genuine and unconditional friendships. The same goes for having a relationship with Christ, it does not just stop at the Bible, there is much more than truth when you encounter Grace and so it is a life-long quest that i am seeking to see his nature and character working in my life.
Jesus came into this world to transform us and make our lives better . . . sit and see the courage that Ruth had, in not leaving her mother-in-law, Naomi, their husbands died; money was little; there is no more joy around the family, Ruth's sacrifice and care for Naomi in not going back to her people and God, was genuine.

I know the journey seems so long
You feel you're walking on your own
But there has never been a step
Where you've walked out all alone

May the Lord work in the most ordinary and hard times of our lives. where we do not see, God works. "i am not alone" - For i can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength (Phil 4:13 NLT). Have a great week.

GoD M.S.G. [May 6 - 12, 2009]

This week we covered Esther 3:1-15 in the series of sermons on how to - Live By Grace In The World.

C.S. Lewis mentions that Humility is not thinking less of yourself but it is thinking of yourself less! This week we venture into Pride as it exist practically everywhere and in everyone. It is how becoming aware of it, the programming of wanting to be superior towards others. Pride can makes us into fools and evil among friends and our loved ones. i was sitting down listening to the sermon and then our care-group discussed about the issue of Pride in our lives.

i feel really messed up. Always want to be better as i was afraid to lose out to the competition of being last and stupid, so in order to filled up my hungry spirit and needy soul, i filled it with Pride and sin. In Singapore there is a term we use, Kiasu (kia-su) word that literally means 'fear of losing' (怕輸). Examples of kiasu behavior includes accumulating too much food on one's plate during a buffet lunch in case there is no more later, or joining a queue many days in advance just to ensure that one successfully gets hold of the limited free tickets to events, promotions and shows such as Singapore's annual National Day Parade.

In Esther 3, Haman's position was superior and when all would bow to him and Mordecai wouldn't, he plotted to eliminate the competition by not only killing Mordecai but him and the rest of his kind - the Jews. Pride leads us to ask the right things but to the wrong King. Who is your King? Do you know who he is . . . only when our needy and hungry hearts are satisfied with the deep love, honor and affirmation of God do we STOP going elsewhere to get it. i do not seek the treasures of this world but the ones Christ gives. i will struggle with pride, no doubt but it is being aware of it and coming to Christ whom is confident and love us - can we live in grace and not in ourselves.

Galatians 6:4 (NKJV)
But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.

My brothers and sisters, it is not in our own strengths but with Christ we live. Humble our hearts and our lives, create in us a center that listens to your humility and not to ourselves in knowing we are greater than others because they do not do it as good as you. Let God be the approval, for he is Holy Holy God Almighty! amen.

GoD M.S.G. [Apr 29 - May 05, 2009]

This week continues the Book of Esther 4:1-17
Living by Grace in the World - Transform in the midst of Ambiguity

The world is filled with such marvels! The world was made perfect but somehow our lives in this age and society is controlled and domesticated by our occupation. God places us in the positions we are in and rather introduce God's grace in our lives we might chose to look the other way. How comfortable we are in our mist of activities, social status, work environment, etc etc etc, that sometimes we forget to remind ourselves how important it is - God has place me there!

I was reading an interview that Hillsong's song writer, Amanda Ferguson, written a book called Songs of Heaven, and in it she describes worship as this: “setting aside one’s pre-occupation with self, and focusing on God.” She placed her self-centerness out and allow Christ to use her occupation of song-writing to do God's work. Didn't place Christ aside but instead focus on God first, and her worship songs become of praise that spring forth like living water to glorify Christ. Christ comes before your occupation not after as it was the grace of God we realize that Jesus is our ultimate savior, source of identity and where our real worth comes from, we are now free to use our occupations for him. Stop my friends in your busy life, sit with the Lord, and listen to his voice. For he wants of great things to come out from each and single one of us.

This week "When you talk, do not say harmful tings, but say what people need-words that will help others become stronger" (Ephesians 4:29). Learn to be humble as your life is already full of joy why place harmful thoughts in your mind. Surrender all for him and know that you are not alone . . . as we follow Jesus unconditionally to use our skills for him knowing Jesus has already done for us.

GoD M.S.G. [Apr 22 - 28, 2009]

This week it is exciting that Andre has gone into the book Esther. I had gone through the book of Ruth as it was interesting for books in the Bible that have no mention of God and makes one wonder why would it even make into the Bible.

"Living out of Grace in the World" - Grace in the Ordinary;
a new series as the last time we were looking at Spiritual Awakening. The Book of Esther refers to Esther whom is chosen out of the many women taken by force to the palace of King Xerxes as the currently Queen Vashti refused to be paraded in front of the King's guest when Xerxes demanded her presence. Hence she was disposed and Esther was given the chance to prove herself in front of King Xerxes for one night or else she would either become an instant widower or part-time concubine.

Even thou God's silence in the Book Esther doesn't mean he is absence. He works in smallest details in our lives, and makes us be filled and joyful!
Faith brings joy, through Christ if we allow him and receive him - we will begin to taste and understand the goodness and dispose the tasteless and bad stuff in our lives. Our beings were made in perfect by God and so we should desire his approval and take guard the evil and lies in our exterior. Give thanks for God who send his son Jesus who was not made famous by dying but by dying he won our freedom to be proclaim Glorious!

Romans 5:1-5 (NLT)
1 Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. 2 Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.

3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4 And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. 5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

Prayer: My sisters and brothers, let us bow our heads to allow Christ to touch our minds; close our eyes so that we shut the exterior out to be with him. Our Father, with the love you have given us through sending your son. Thank you for the cross and giving us grace even thou we didn't ask for it and don't deserve it. We might not even fully appreciate it when we get it but God you never stop giving and opening your arms to ask us to turn away from lies and turn towards him to move that one step. Thank you Lord and may you take care of us during the week and to every moment of our busy lives.

The past 3 weeks I got to watch the Truth Project. One every week at our care group and it is a total of 12 DVDs you watch to finish what the tour guide (presenter), Dr. Tackett puts forward to us as the truth and what is lies that puts us away from the truth of God. It is very interesting as it does make me feel like a Paul wannabe...to be the troublemaker in the new town, to upset the businessmen, lifestyle, worshiping standards, etc. To see to the people, are you not hearing the GOOD NEWS ... Jesus Christ, it is so good I can taste it, how come you are not listening to it...
Galatians 5:16-17 (NIV)
Life by the Spirit
16So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. 17For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want.

To do what you do not want to do...Wow, isn't it suppose to be to do what I want to do! That is the real deal right? But if you do what you want, do you know you are making the right one? Making decisions are cool, having a directed lifestyle is reasonable...but I believe the statement that Paul was writing was that our lives need to desire away from ourselves for a change. Let God's spirit be above you...to be your number 1 and not some stuff to be randomly remembered later on.

Andre in his sermon during Easter was the assurance that Christ came to accomplish, his death and resurrection validates and provides us the assurance of God's victory over our sin, and the promise of a new life in grace. Be moved, touched, transformed and informed of this wonderful news! Christ at the God's expense (Grace).

Take care, and lovingly your brother, Francis

Dearest friends & family,

It has been a sunny week here in San Diego, except Tuesday night for now - as it rained, poured, showered, watered...got wet while walking to car or to neighbors home. But for those if you have a shelter path, while it is raining; that is GREAT!

It has been quite a walk with God and such a marvelous joy it is to walk with him. The way our lives shape and form once awaken by Grace - and knowing Christ is not working his magic but his love so that we can be risen from our death in sin and transformed into life through Jesus Christ.

Romans 12:2 (NLT)

2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Do you conform to the world's reality? I look at the movies I own and the TV shows I watch...hmmmm media is such a great tool to spread lies or bombard us with more lies if we do not catch what we are seeing, hearing or receiving. I almost wanted to go study nursing or become a doctor after watching a touching movie on how they save lives (Patch Adams), or a coast guard (The Guardian). They provide great entertainment and visual aid to other people's lives, but it is not our lives. God created us in his image and we go about our lives seeking other Gods(Idols), forgetting the God who created the heaven and earth. Seek the truth=reality - Jesus came to testify to the truth (John 8:37).
Our minds are a wonderful tool given to us but we fill it with stuff that you might think is good, sufficient knowledge for you. One day you will end up empty and find your life to be meaningless. Let God transform us, like Jesus when he was transformed after he died on the cross, so that we can be fully not dead in our lives with sin, but alive with Jesus Christ in his grace.

Dear brother & sisters,
As the time for Easter has arrive, let it now about finding easter eggs, and great music, nice atmosphere in the church, but it is about you - whom has come down to earth, encountered us, died for us, and because of this we can be transform through Christ inside out in our lives to be renewed in our minds and say, I am here God. Amen.

Have a great week ahead, I miss you all those back home and to those close by - see you soon for Easter service.

Cheers,
Francis Law

Ephesians 4:22-24 (MSG)
"Everything—and I do mean everything—connected with that old way of life has to go. It's rotten through and through. Get rid of it! And then take on an entirely new way of life—a God-fashioned life, a life renewed from the inside and working itself into your conduct as God accurately reproduces his character in you."

I think my life is hard to understand - wake up and thought about how much good I can do for God ... good that will guarantee my greatness. WRONG!

You began your life in Christ by the Spirit, why would I want to complete it by my own power? This is FOOLISH
(Gal 3:3 NCV).

Pastor Andre tells us:
"You are sailing along in the ocean and rowing your boat, lost and alone - cold...
Then a ship appears and it's name was - GRACE sailing constantly in the water and not stopping.
Waving to catch its attention and it took a long while but GRACE notices you and starts to swing around to pick you up. But you bring your boat up to the decks of the GRACE and found it to be a luxury cruise, however you are still in your own boat trying to sail and rowing even thou you are on such a wonderful cruise ship: GRACE"

What are you doing today my brothers and sisters? Will you stop, listen, and simply not just know but encounter the grace that Christ has come into this world to give us.
I am a dumb sheep, I shall not be in want
Let the shepherd our Christ lead us as he does not stop - he keeps on going, it is we who stop, complain - So transform and be changed!

Now our Savior Jesus Christ, speaking of entering the
Kingdom of Heaven said; Indeed there are those
who are last who will be first, and first who
will be last." ( Luke 13:30 ) Also Jesus' brother
wrote; He gives more grace. Therefore He
says: "God resists the proud, But gives
grace to the humble." ( James 4:6 )

My heart is pouring

A thousand times I've failed
Still your mercy remains
And should I stumble again
Still I'm caught in your grace

Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame
my heart and my soul, Lord I give you control
Consume me from the inside out Lord
Let justice and praise become my embrace
To love You from the inside out

Your will above all else, my purpose remains
The art of losing myself in bringing you praise

Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame
In my heart, in my soul, Lord I give you control
Consume me from the inside out Lord
Let justice and praise become my embrace
To love You from the inside out

Chorus 2x
Everlasting, Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending, Your glory goes beyond all fame
And the cry of my heart is to bring You praise
From the inside out Lord, my soul cries out

I am pouring out, my life is for you and all I want is to keep doing the impossible. I pray I remain faithful to you Jesus. Keep your hand on me Lord, for I am your servant...

Philippians 4:10-13 (New Living Translation)
10 How I praise the Lord that you are concerned about me again. I know you have always been concerned for me, but you didn’t have the chance to help me. 11 Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. 12 I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. 13 For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

Who am I? In my mind I was thinking of Jackie Chan's film he starred in titled, "Who Am I?" Well, he was a secret agent that lost his memory after falling from a crashing helicopter, then chased by a number of other agency operatives, and he has no idea why. I was thinking and this struck me, am I blind to the outside of me and unable to see the false programming in my life causing sin to chase me and I keep wondering

How could this be happening?

This week talks about having the Right Attachment...in our Spiritual Awakening series. Are we in constant struggle with the world whom seems to feed us a standard that brings happiness? Maybe, in some examples I have seen - having certain things in life will bring about satisfaction, however what is true happiness and satisfaction in the long-term run. Paul who has reach out to tell men and women about the joy of having Christ in you - and receive the everlasting love and salvation that he has already won for you. In Philippians 3:13-14 (NLT), Paul talks about how he is not perfect! Reading about the letters he wrote, how could he not be perfect, however Paul was aware that he is nothing and he focus on one thing:

13 I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

If you would only listen to Christ Jesus - through him may we be overturned away from our past and learn to reach out and love him in return. To be in Christ's approval and not our own approval in our lives.

John 10:9-11 (NLT)

9 Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. 10 The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.

The realization of your own program will beginning the awareness and restoring our lives that Jesus came to restore through the Gospel of Grace. Our lives need the constant fill of God whom fills us and never stops to fill you up with grace. There is more to this life than dying, as Jesus came to give life and to seek the joy that he unconditionally gives. Find him there at the cross, I sometimes find comfort in my Lord as there are so much uncertainties, my cultural fulfillment, the needs of your externals - Let Jesus be our inside out solution. Steven Curtis Chapman - wrote this song, "I will be Here".

Enjoy your day and may we meet one day where we can be in the love of our God.

I Will Be Here(Steven Curtis Chapman)

Tomorrow morning if you wake up
and the sun does not appear
I will be here
If in the dark, we lose sight of love
Hold my hand, and have no fear
'Cause I will be here

I will be here
When you feel like being quiet
When you need to speak your mind
I will listen
And I will be here
When the laughter turns to cryin'
Through the winning, losing and trying
We'll be together
I will be here ...

Luke 22:27 (God's Word)
27 Who's the greatest, the person who sits at the table or the servant?
Isn't it really the person who sits at the table? But I'm among you as a servant.

Matthew 13:1-23 (New Living Translation)

Matthew 13
Parable of the Farmer Scattering Seed
1 Later that same day Jesus left the house and sat beside the lake. 2 A large crowd soon gathered around him, so he got into a boat. Then he sat there and taught as the people stood on the shore. 3 He told many stories in the form of parables, such as this one:

“Listen! A farmer went out to plant some seeds. 4 As he scattered them across his field, some seeds fell on a footpath, and the birds came and ate them. 5 Other seeds fell on shallow soil with underlying rock. The seeds sprouted quickly because the soil was shallow. 6 But the plants soon wilted under the hot sun, and since they didn’t have deep roots, they died. 7 Other seeds fell among thorns that grew up and choked out the tender plants. 8 Still other seeds fell on fertile soil, and they produced a crop that was thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times as much as had been planted! 9 Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand.”

10 His disciples came and asked him, “Why do you use parables when you talk to the people?”

11 He replied, “You are permitted to understand the secrets[a] of the Kingdom of Heaven, but others are not. 12 To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them. 13 That is why I use these parables,

For they look, but they don’t really see.
They hear, but they don’t really listen or understand.

14 This fulfills the prophecy of Isaiah that says,

‘When you hear what I say,
you will not understand.
When you see what I do,
you will not comprehend.
15 For the hearts of these people are hardened,
and their ears cannot hear,
and they have closed their eyes—
so their eyes cannot see,
and their ears cannot hear,
and their hearts cannot understand,
and they cannot turn to me
and let me heal them.’[b]

16 “But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear. 17 I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, but they didn’t see it. And they longed to hear what you hear, but they didn’t hear it.

18 “Now listen to the explanation of the parable about the farmer planting seeds: 19 The seed that fell on the footpath represents those who hear the message about the Kingdom and don’t understand it. Then the evil one comes and snatches away the seed that was planted in their hearts. 20 The seed on the rocky soil represents those who hear the message and immediately receive it with joy. 21 But since they don’t have deep roots, they don’t last long. They fall away as soon as they have problems or are persecuted for believing God’s word. 22 The seed that fell among the thorns represents those who hear God’s word, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life and the lure of wealth, so no fruit is produced. 23 The seed that fell on good soil represents those who truly hear and understand God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!”

------------------------

This week has been not easy I can tell you my brothers and sisters in Christ. I look at the passage and the discussion at the care-group, if not for God I would have retreated in my shell like a turtle does and never stick my head out. I have pride, not wanting to admit that I am wrong - prove all that I am the correct one. I look at the the parable of the seeds that fall on different soil and I learn how to cultivate the soil of Grace through awareness listening. I grew up with friends and always wanting to serve and not ask for anything...but in my heart I use to say, "How good it is to be appreciated by friends and after knowing how much good I am doing." I have not received any grace or understanding, I am in my own world and self adapting to the world and allowing the world of sin to control me! Am I really listening to God, or implying that is silence.

We want to be lead into greater faith so that it becomes easier to change and overcome difficulties, and therefore I need awareness-listening. Doing my devotions and allowing rest to come from God helps me bridge the silence I think that God is not responding in my life. God is amazing, and in his time-line I will be touched and with Christ we can be in his approval/righteousness. Turn away from sin and turn towards the love and grace that the Gospels preach to you are saying. Turn and listen and be in his Rest.

A friend of mine who i knew, during a retreat in Singapore once walked over to me with a towel and basin and placed my feet in it and washed them carefully and gently, and after that he bended over and kissed it. I started to tear and knew my life has changed through Christ, the Christ who encountered life and whom all nations will one day knee now kneels before his disciples. You showed your love by the Gospels, coming to bring the dead in sins to life, washing away our dirt and transforming our lives so that we will put only fall into the good soil and live in Grace.

I was playing and hearing this song,
Towel and the Basin [Scribbling in the Sand: The Best of Michael Card (2002)]
I leave you with the lyrics to it:

In an upstairs room, a parable
is just about to come alive.
And while they bicker about who's best,
with a painful glance, He'll silently rise.

Their Savior Servant must show them how
through the will of the water
and the tenderness of the towel.

And the call is to community,
The impoverished power that sets the soul free.
In humility, to take the vow,
that day after day we must take up the basin and the towel.

In any ordinary place,
on any ordinary day,
the parable can live again
when one will kneel and one will yield.

Our Saviour Servant must show us how
through the will of the water
and the tenderness of the towel.

And the space between ourselves sometimes
is more than the distance between the stars.
By the fragile bridge of the Servant's bow
we take up the basin and the towel.

Pride / Humility

Define out Pride and Humility?

Kayoko's definition:
Pride is placing oneself in a higher position,
Humility is placing others in a higher position.

I like what Elizabeth said, "I"specialist!!! A lot of capital I.

In Luke 18:9-14 (NLT)

Parable of the Pharisee and Tax Collector
9 Then Jesus told this story to some who had great confidence in their own righteousness and scorned everyone else: 10 “Two men went to the Temple to pray. One was a Pharisee, and the other was a despised tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed this prayer: ‘I thank you, God, that I am not a sinner like everyone else. For I don’t cheat, I don’t sin, and I don’t commit adultery. I’m certainly not like that tax collector! 12 I fast twice a week, and I give you a tenth of my income.’

13 “But the tax collector stood at a distance and dared not even lift his eyes to heaven as he prayed. Instead, he beat his chest in sorrow, saying, ‘O God, be merciful to me, for I am a sinner.’ 14 I tell you, this sinner, not the Pharisee, returned home justified before God. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

------------------------------------------------------------
The tax collector humbled himself and did not ask God to for more rewards, but more for his faults. Three points I learn from today's sharing was -

#1. Awareness Ps 139:23-24
#2. Repentance Heart 2 Cor 7:10
#3. Come to God with your BROKENNESS
Let God change you, it is ok to be broken, poor in spirit

Matt 5:3-11

The Beatitudes
3 “God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him,[a]
for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.
4 God blesses those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
5 God blesses those who are humble,
for they will inherit the whole earth.

6 God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice,
for they will be satisfied.
7 God blesses those who are merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
8 God blesses those whose hearts are pure,
for they will see God.
9 God blesses those who work for peace,
for they will be called the children of God.
10 God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right,
for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.

11 “God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers. 12 Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted in the same way.

Are you broken and need God? Don't only accept the good things in your life, but also the bad things. Take all and give him praise, and be in the presence of God as he picked you, to be his creation and his likeness. Be saved in the name of Jesus Christ.

GoD M.S.G. [Feb 25 - Mar 3, 2009]

Last weekend in church, we continued on Spiritual Awakening - I updated my facebook profile status to, "Francis is changing his programming", and a friend of mine up in Seattle who does programming commented on my status saying he liked it ...

I found that amusing but yet I think he grasp the wrong meaning to my update. Are we even aware of our own insecurity is part of an emotional programming that can be reversed, replaced and corrected.

My life is so unaware of this, emotions take control of the every being and all views of it too. I want to be transformed and don't you want to be too??? Transformed to be better and be loving to others more - or are you moved by society on the norm of things in life. Jesus is the way, why look under the bed, in your work, in your financial difficulties, in your insecurities. A note on Sunday was in the 3rd point -

* There is an inner need for security that is so deep that only God can fill it - and He has already done so - all we need is to be Aware & Receive it!

Wake up to the truth of Jesus and his Gospel of the Good news and be in his righteousness/approval, How precious are your thoughts about me, O God! They're innumerable (Ps. 139:17). Come and see the pierced hand of God touch the most common heart, wipe the tear from the wrinkled face, and forgive the ugliest sin. Come and encounter my King . . . do you know him?

(Psalm 139:13-18 NLT)

13 You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body
and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.
15 You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion,
as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.
16 You saw me before I was born.
Every day of my life was recorded in your book.
Every moment was laid out
before a single day had passed.

17 How precious are your thoughts about me, O God.
They cannot be numbered!
18 I can’t even count them;
they outnumber the grains of sand!
And when I wake up,
you are still with me!

Have a lovely day and take a break to sit-stop-listen (Pine: Rice&Virtue).

Cheers,
Francis Law

As I was siting down on my desk today and looked at the sky, wow - so many stars ... too many probabilities that might occur in that vast amount of space. Movies that talk about how you should believe in them, their ideas, their love and their their their - don't let the world misguide you in life. Jesus is the way and an everlasting change in our lives - Wake up, come to OUR SENSES!!! Begin to see, reality as it really is. I really like the poem Andre read when he was on a flight, it is indeed very amazing how God fills our lives. So I leave you with the poem and pray for your days ahead in the weeks so that you will continue to receive God's love.

I was a neurotic for years.
Anxious, depressed, selfish.
And everyone kept telling me to change.
And I resented them, and agreed with them,
and wanted to change, but simply couldn't, no matter how I tried.

What hurt the most was that,
like the others, my closest friend kept urging me to change.
So I felt powerless and trapped.

One day he said "Whether or not you change. I love you as you are."
Those words were music to my ears: "Whether or not you change. I love you as you are …
Whether or not you change. I love you as you are ... I relaxed.
I came alive. And, suddenly, I changed!
Now I know that I couldn't really change till I found someone to love me whether I changed or not.

Is this how you love me, God?

Music for Thought

Akiko shared her thoughts and this song makes a lot of sense ... knowing how messed up we are - and the lyrics creates in my life that he is the way! My King

Here are the lyrics:

How many times have I turned away
The number is the same as the sand on the shore
But every time You've taken me back
And now I pray You do it once more.

Chorus:
Please take from me my life
When I don't have the strength
to give it away to You Jesus

How many times have I turned away
The number is the same as the stars in the sky
But every time You've taken me back
And now I pray You do it tonight

(Rom 12:2, Philip. 4:11-13, John 8:32)

Throughout the week, there was a thought stuck in my head and it was really just how Jesus would be your pilot. He is behind you with the wheel on the ship so you will be sailing the right direction - and then God is the point your ship is sailing towards ... an invisible line that Jesus' sees to lead you on the right path - & finally the Holy Spirit blowing that breeze you need so that you will be able to sail or else it would be floating in mist of the ocean for me.

Romans 12:2-3 (The Message)
Place Your Life Before God

1-2 So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

3 I'm speaking to you out of deep gratitude for all that God has given me, and especially as I have responsibilities in relation to you. Living then, as every one of you does, in pure grace, it's important that you not misinterpret yourselves as people who are bringing this goodness to God. No, God brings it all to you. The only accurate way to understand ourselves is by what God is and by what he does for us, not by what we are and what we do for him.

---------------------------------

Our lives are filled with different programming. Our upbringing, cultural and worldly programming affects and influences us more than we realize - it will shape us and move us - hence if you observe carefully yourself, you will know what is our programming then being aware will lead us to right living by having the right thoughts. Pine brought up a sign he saw outside while driving, outside a Vietnamese church the sign read: "God seems so far away .......................Guessed who moved?"

Our change in our life, true change will last if we perform it from the INSIDE-OUT out and not the other way around.

GoD M.S.G. [Feb 04 - 10, 2009]

Mark 5:21-43

I was reading through the reading on Sunday and the title for this reading was - Jesus heals in response to faith.

When Jesus went onto shore, so many people were awaiting to see him. Then there was one woman who knew there were so many people crowding Jesus and yet she struggled to reach out to him. She hoped by maybe touching Jesus' robe, she will be healed. And indeed she was healed by touching Jesus! It is the direction and object of our faith that will save not the size of our faith. Our lives are so messed up and sometimes do we really realized that? How desperately helpless, and our struggles are like storms and hurricanes - blowing and hurling things in our way and we can only feel quite helpless. Jesus holds us by our hand and tells us to awake from our sleep that we so deeply believe is sufficient, but only through Jesus his grace is sufficient for us in the mist of our trials, troubles and storms.

[Ephesians 2:5-6 NLT]
5that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) 6For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.

Let the seasons of Christ, his resume of weakness and goodness be our every stream of life . . . our minds and hearts following Jesus, everyday wanting him to live by grace - So do not be afraid. Just have faith (Mark 5:36) Give God the time-line of your life and allow Jesus to become our deepest personal all in all and to connect with him relationally at our deepest levels.

How to Receive a Miracle of Grace by Andre Ong

Jan 27, 2009

GoD M.S.G. [Jan 28 - Feb 3, 2009]

Help me understand the meaning of your commandments,
and I will meditate on your wonderful deeds (Psalm 119:27 NLT)

I found this black sheet with these white letters written on it, and on the opposite side it was written in chinese. This was inserted in one of the pages in my books and I was quite amaze how I came across it, then at the bottom of the sheet it read - Put this black sheet beneath a page to enhance readability. :)) Place a smile to my face as it was a very small but lovely gesture of the person creating that slogan and I smiled.

Nothing . . . in the whole world will ever be able to seperate us from the love of God (Romans 8:39).

We are all someone, special! Our life's resume ... what would you put in it? Will you place only the good things and leave the rest hidden. I learned in Matt chapter 1:1-17 - the Genealogy of Jesus - he places not only the good people but also the people that are not so good. It shows me how great God's plan eventually, all the people who path the way for Jesus Christ. Believe and recive the Grace knowing our own sinfulness but constantly being loved by God at the same time! When you sit and rest, God fights for you. When you fight your battles, he will sit and rest. Therefore allow grace to work in our lives, as God restores the lost time and renews a better future for us.

Take some time to do some devotional ... if not spend a bit of time to pray - to allow God's son to brighten or heal us at all times.

President Barack Obama's inaugural address was truly amazing, giving hope to the American people ... Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are serious and they are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of time. But know this, America - they will be met. They will be met, meaning there is hope and there is no giving up. Like our God who never gives up!

When Joseph was dropped into a pit by his own brothers, God didn't give up.
When Moses said, " Here I am, send Aaron," God didn't give up.
When the delivered Israelites wanted Egyptian slavery instead of milk and honey, God didn't give up.
When Peter worshiped him at the supper and cursed him at the fire, he didn't give up.
And when human hands fastened the divine hands to a cross with spikes, it wasn't the soldiers who held the hands of Jesus steady.
It was God who held them steady. God, who would give up his only son before he'd give up on you. (Grace for the moment)

Our lives are made up of so many parts, but one thing that is at the heart of us is God. He holds our lives together and creates miracles in our days. Some are small miracles, I guess others might be huge! Learn to sit-down and let God be your source...with his grace and love for you.

That's My King! (video link to youtube)

The Bible says my King is a seven-way king....He's the King of the Jews; that's a racial king....He's the King of Israel; that's a national King....He's the King of Righteousness....He's the King of the Ages.....He's the King of Heaven....He's the King of Glory....He's the King of kings, and He's the Lord of lords. That's my King. Well....I wonder, do you know Him?...

...Well, you can't get Him out of your mind....You can't get Him off of your hand....You can't out live Him, and you can't live without Him....The Pharisees couldn't stand Him, but they found out they couldn't stop Him....Pilate couldn't find any fault in Him....The witnesses couldn't get their testimonies to agree....Herod couldn't kill Him....Death couldn't handle Him, and the grave couldn't hold Him. Yea!!!, that's my King, that's my King.
-Quote from Dr. S.M. Lockridge

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Psalm 91 (New Living Translation)

Psalm 91

1 Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 This I declare about the Lord:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I trust him.
3 For he will rescue you from every trap
and protect you from deadly disease.
4 He will cover you with his feathers.
He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
5 Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night,
nor the arrow that flies in the day.
6 Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness,
nor the disaster that strikes at midday.
7 Though a thousand fall at your side,
though ten thousand are dying around you,
these evils will not touch you.
8 Just open your eyes,
and see how the wicked are punished.

9 If you make the Lord your refuge,
if you make the Most High your shelter,
10 no evil will conquer you;
no plague will come near your home.
11 For he will order his angels
to protect you wherever you go.
12 They will hold you up with their hands
so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.
13 You will trample upon lions and cobras;
you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet!

14 The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me.
I will protect those who trust in my name.
15 When they call on me, I will answer;
I will be with them in trouble.
I will rescue and honor them.
16 I will reward them with a long life
and give them my salvation.”

"Gong Xi Fa Chai" Chinese New Year

Photo taken from unknown site, put I bet there had a lot of good pictures of the food!

Happy New Year to all!

I went on the road trip this December and I must say Utah have really amazing National Parks. The wonderful touch of God to bend rocks like play dough is truly remarkable. When I climb up to a height where I saw a distant out ... snow that make the edges of the rock seem more visible; the trees giving a lovely contrast to the redness of the rocks; the snowy mountain hiding in the background - it is indescribable. How small I am in this world...and then i thought of the Dr Seuss's movie, "Horton hears a who", and I remember a quote at the end of the movie - And so, all ended well for both Horton and Who's, and for all in the jungle, even kangaroos. So let that be a lesson to one and to all; a person is a person, no matter how small.

Last weekend I heard Andre read out this Psalm:
Psalm 62 (NLT)
1I wait quietly before God,
for my victory comes from him.
2He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress where I will never be shaken.
3So many enemies against one man—
all of them trying to kill me.
To them I’m just a broken-down wall
or a tottering fence.
4They plan to topple me from my high position.
They delight in telling lies about me.
They praise me to my face
but curse me in their hearts.

5Let all that I am wait quietly before God,
for my hope is in him.
6He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress where I will not be shaken.
7My victory and honor come from God alone.
He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.
8O my people, trust in him at all times.
Pour out your heart to him,
for God is our refuge.

God is our refuge and he is always going to hold us. Only if we allow God to, by doing the right thing before him even if others choose to lose faith, lose hope or lose heart. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him (John 1:3 NLT). Lift our hearts to him and allow him to work miracles in you. Let our hearts be filled with grace - God loves us just the way we are but he refuses to leave you that way. He want you to be like Jesus. During Sunday service the last point in the notes I end off this devotion - The Christian life of grace is one of miracles, therefore patiently wait by faith, do not Quit until God brings his miraculous closure to the situation.

2 Cor 6:10 (NLT)
Our hearts ache, but we always have joy. We are poor, but we give spiritual riches to others. We own nothing, and yet we have everything.
